DashCAN for MoTeC
Live gauges, CAN logging and CAN switches on your phone, and with the Apex a GPS lap timer with the MoTeC channels on the same timeline. The app decodes the MoTeC broadcast out of the box; you enable it once in your tuning software.

Channels the app decodes from a MoTeC
These show up as gauges, get logged, and land in DashCAN Cloud. Channels your engine does not measure or your ECU does not transmit simply stay empty.

Which interface you need
The MoTeC broadcasts at 1 Mbit/s. The OBD and Wire-In interfaces run at a fixed 500 kbit/s, so this ECU needs the DashCAN Apex.
- DashCAN Apex
- The MoTeC broadcasts at 1 Mbit/s, and the Apex is the only DashCAN interface with an adjustable CAN bit rate. It also adds the 25 Hz GPS lap timer and the 6-axis IMU.
Setup
The First Steps guide has the MoTeC CAN connection, the exact settings in the tuning software, and the app pairing, step by step.
Add lap timing and G-forces
With the DashCAN Apex the MoTeC channels are recorded together with a 25 Hz GPS trace and a 6-axis IMU: automatic lap timing, acceleration runs, G-G diagrams and corner analysis in DashCAN Cloud, all on the same timeline as the engine data.
Put your MoTeC data on your phone.
