Passive: no firmware and no bit rate to set. Surge protection on the 12 V line. No terminator on board: your bus keeps its own two.
What it does
Every CAN device needs the bus, power and ground. The hub gives all four to each device through one sealed plug, so the loom has one clean junction instead of a bundle of splices.
- Four ports, one bus
- Every device on the car's CAN bus plugs into the same hub: the ECU, a dash, a DashCAN interface, a keypad or an EGT module.
- Power on every port
- 12 V and ground ride along with CAN high and low, so each device takes power and data from one four-pin plug.
- Protected against the car
- A TVS diode clamps voltage spikes on the 12 V line before they reach the devices on the other ports.
- Sealed Deutsch DTM connectors
- The motorsport standard: a positive latch you hear click and a sealed plug. Four DTM plugs come in the box, ready for your loom.
- Drops into a working bus
- No terminator inside, so the hub never adds a third one. Your ECU and the last device on the bus stay the two ends, exactly as before.
- Two ways to mount
- Bolt it flat on its base, or to a wall with its front face against it. The latch side stays free, so the plug release levers are always reachable.
- Nothing to set up
- The hub is passive: no firmware, no app, no bit rate. It works with every DashCAN interface and every ECU on the same bus.

The hub adds no terminator, so it never upsets a bus that is already terminated at both ends. The mounting holes carry metal bushings, so the M5 bolts clamp metal to metal.
Wiring it into the loom
A hub makes the bus tidy, but CAN still wants the basics right: two terminators and short branches.
Do
- Terminate the bus exactly twice, once at each physical end
- Keep the terminators where they are: the hub has none of its own
- Use twisted pair for CAN high and CAN low, and keep the branches to each device short
- Use the metal bushings with M5 bolts and washers
- Mount it where it is sheltered from direct water spray
Avoid
- A third terminator: two is right, three or more weakens the signal
- Long unterminated branches on a 1 Mbit/s bus
- Leaving unused ports open to spray: an empty port is not sealed
